Berg Mountain Homes is a fully licensed (Georgia and North Carolina) and insured general contractor / builder specializing in building high quality, energy conscious custom homes with innovative features, unique details, and a creative mix of textures and materials. In addition to conventional building methods, we are also your local source for certified green building, timber frame construction and universal design. Optional design services are also available.

Our building area includes Clay and Cherokee counties in western North Carolina and Union, Towns and Fannin counties in north Georgia. We service the cities of Murphy, Andrews, Hayesville, Hiwassee, Blairsville, Blue Ridge and Young Harris (and all the little towns in between).

Real estate in these rolling southern Appalachian mountains not far from the Smoky Mountain National Park is very desirable for both retirement and vacation / second homes. This is a beautiful place to live and the people are so friendly. And we are less than two hours from Atlanta, Chattanooga and Asheville.

While cozy cabins or chalets with wonderful views are the most prominent home style in the area, we can build any style of home you have in mind. We will even work with you on designing your dream house.

The homes we build may look expensive, but attention to detail and creative thinking do not add a dime to your home’s bottom line. There’s no reason you can’t have a unique home with a modest price tag. In fact, a custom built home should cost far less than buying a comparable pre-owned home.
